Here are the essential questions to have answers for if you expect to have any business in the future.
- Do you know what you are missing without an app?
- Do you know what you can do with an app that you can’t do with a mobile website?
- Do you know all the power that comes with an app that cost a fortune without an app?
- Do you know how many apps are out there that are complete garbage?
- Do you know another business that has one in your industry, and did you download it yet?
What’s stopping you from knowing the answers to these critical business questions?
Here is the bottom-line.
You can certainly be in business without an app, but will you have any business by 2025?
Having an app is not the end all be all, it is the difference between the have and the have-nots.
Do you know the market segment that you serve that uses a smartphone to buy your products?
Do you remember when the web first came around, did you jump on it, or did you wait?
Today every business is facing the growing complexity of social media, marketing via video, podcast, articles, and now the app has brought up the aspect of incorporating all of those so you can hyper-connect to your client and your client to you.
You certainly can stand on the sidelines and wait, but every day the social media world is growing with every new entry into its' competitive matrix.
The longer you wait to get into the app game, the more newbie you will look while those who adopt to it early will look like the thought leaders that everyone wants to do business with.
So, Got App?, is the question, but the real question is Want Business?
The reading of this article should awaken inside of you an urge to get those answers.
To bury your head and think it is too early to adopt to an app structure in your business is like saying that eCommerce was going to be a fad.
eCommerce is projected to be a Trillion dollar industry in the next 5 years. If over 50% of people are shopping on their smartphone today, how long will it be til some wiz creates the end all shopping app?
Being on the cutting edge sometimes means you need to get some education under your belt or bring in a business consultant that understands what you are facing. Social media is but a fraction of the battle-field of gaining customers. Instant customer support is edging its' way into the minds of consumers and the app is the perfect solution for them and you.
As long as you are moving on things in a timely manner you should be ok, but waiting for the perfect time is slowly melting away. The time to adapt is well before the notion is old hat and you look like you just got word of what all customers new a few years ago.
Be bold. Be First.
The worst it could get is that you have to hire a professional to get you into the arena. Then you'll get the learning curve over while consumers are getting adjusted to shopping with an app, and that app should be your app.
Thanks for reading this and pass along the insight. It could make the difference in your friends in business becoming a "have" instead of a "have not".
