SkyWay is a transportation system that will free the land from the road

Convenient and inexpensive traffic at a speed of 500 km / h and at a height of several meters above the ground - it can become a reality in the very near future for societies all over the world. Company SkyWay was engaged in development of innovative transport systems of the "second level". Such systems provide an earth surface for pedestrians and plants, as well as all major transport routes above the ground. The project is currently at the final stage of its implementation. The first "flight trains" unibuses were called after their inventor, the planned presentations in October in Minsk.

Inventor of technology and chief designer Anatoly Unitsky. He was a scientist, inventor, the head of two United Nations projects, a member of the Federation of Space Sciences of the USSR, the author of more than 200 scientific papers, 18 monographs and more than 140 inventions in construction, transport, engineering, electronics and the chemical industry.

Anatoly Unitsky came up with a method to accelerate the transport of passengers and goods to 500 km / h, while simultaneously increasing the level of road safety and significantly reducing the damage caused by transport in the environment. He developed a fundamentally new transport system in which the vehicle moves above the ground on rails, automates management tools and ensures the most effective coordination of logistics.

The basis of the Units' string transport is the railway line. At the heart of this rail is the bearing element (screed) of the reinforcement. The outer shell of the rail is made of metal, and the space between the strings and the metal filler special mix increases the strength of the structure and prevents corrosion inside the rail. This also helps reduce the noise generated by the rail when the rudder wheel is on it (so the railway line does not cause noise pollution, which distinguishes it from the conventional rail).

The lines in the core are stretched in a certain way between two anchor supports located at a distance of 3 to 5 kilometers from each other. This greatly reduces the load on the intermediate supports located on each of 40-60 meters, and increases their load capacity by 8 times. Thanks to this constructive solution, the cost of building a string trestle is more than 30 times less than the usual distance.

Aerodynamics: a simple and elegant solution to the problem of air resistance

Increasing the route above the ground allows solving a number of problems. For example, in an urban environment, this allows you to reduce the load on existing highways before moving public transport to the second level or building, without special difficulties, routes in areas with uneven terrain, unstable or high-density soil. However, the most important thing is that it solves the problem of ground impact, which is the main building of high-speed transport. The screen Unitsky string transport simply does not exist, because there is no solid road that replaced two thin rails.

Only in this case it provides improved aerodynamic characteristics of the car in half. Combined with the fact that the maneuvering ability of a vehicle operating on rails is not essential, this is a prerequisite for achieving unprecedented aerodynamic characteristics of the rolling stock, which leads to an unprecedented drive power saving. At present, the purging of the rolling stock of the Units string models in the wind tunnel gives the number Cx = 0.05, which is close to the theoretical limit of 0.04. For comparison, the coefficient of resistance (Cx), even for the best sports cars is 0.3-0.4.

The more you drive - the further you go: low power consumption at high speeds

Aerodynamic characteristics are important not only for speed, but also for high energy efficiency of the vehicle, since more than 90% of the operational capabilities of its drives are used to overcome air resistance. The rest of the working power in the wheeled vehicle is almost completely expended to overcome the rolling resistance of the wheel, against which the maximum efficiency of the Unitsky car line also applies.

The solution here is taken directly from the railway transport, in which the "steel rail - steel wheel" is used. The system efficiency coefficient reaches 99.8 percent. This also leads to a reduction in energy consumption compared to the use of the combination

Immediately three kinds of string transport were shown at the press-presentation in the EcoTechnoPark

The rolling stock of SkyWay was demonstrated at a closed presentation at the testing and certification center - EcoTechnoPark. The general designer of JSC "String Technologies" Anatoly Unitsky personally told the press about engineering solutions for SkyWay technology, and also demonstrated the work and current speed characteristics of industrial rolling stock samples. And if the footage with the standard unibus filtered in the media before, the 48-seater 48-bireroad unibus and cargo unit were shown to the public for the first time.

The press presentation was held on the eve of the EcoFest 2017, which will be held on July 1 and will gather 5,000 guests from around the world. For the second consecutive year, supporters of innovation and scientific progress gather in Maryina Gorka to see for themselves the development of the test range and string transport. In addition to the three already functioning modes of transport this year, guests will also see a new, sagging section of the light transport system created for mountainous areas, as well as a museum of SkyWay technology.

SkyWay. Third Golden Chariot Award

The solemn ceremony of awarding the international "Golden Chariot" prize was held in Prague at Ambassador Zlata Husa Hotel. The project organization for the development of SkyWay string transport was rewarded, and this is not the first time. The innovation of Unitsky has already been awarded an honorable award in 2009 and 2011. This time, a prize was awarded in the nomination "The Most Innovative Ecological Project in the Transport Industry". This year only two "big" chariots were awarded, the second was given to the President of the Czech Republic.

Rewarding was one of the central events of the international financial and economic forum of the countries of the CIS and Europe "Prague Business Meetings", which this year was held in the Czech Republic. Discussion of new formats of economic cooperation in the conditions of modern geopolitical realities became the leitmotif of the event. The forum was addressed by the representative of the administration of the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pirunchik, the charge d'affaires of the Russian Federation in the Czech Republic, Theodosius Vladyshevsky, the Ambassador of Belarus Valery Kurdyukov, representatives of the academic and engineering communities.

The weight of the latter was especially important for the award and diplomas. Those who follow the string transport project for a long time can not but note the presence on the diploma, including the signature of Boris Lyovin, the rector of the Moscow State University of Communications. The very same university, which was once (still under the old name of MIIT) was not sure of the recommendations for the STU project in Khabarovsk. Time has put everything in its place.

Recall that shortly before the event, the demonstration and certification center SkyWay was visited by the chairman of the organizing committee of the prize Albert Zhukov. The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the achievements of SkyWay and discuss the prospects for cooperation. In an interview recorded during the visit of Albert Zhukov to EcoTechnoPark, he spoke about the ten-year history of his acquaintance with the SkyWay string transport, shared his impressions of what he saw and expressed his opinion on the future and present of the world transport infrastructure.

For the twelve years of its existence, the Golden Chariot Award has become "a kind of transport" Oscar "and unites the strongest transport companies from many countries of the world."
