How do you eat an Elephant?
Silly question right because who would want to eat an elephant. Yes it is a silly question till you know the answer. So HOW do you eat an Elephant, you eat him one bite at a time.
How do you build your business? You build it one step at a time and like children who do not all walk at the rate of growth nor will we all build our businesses at the same rate. Some have more friends and family willing to support them others have bigger email lists while others have more money to do advertising. No matter what it is we all build a business the same way one step at a time but that being said it does not mean we need to sacrifice anything nor does it give us the right to walk on people in order for us to create the success we want for ourselves. We need to focus on the success of all who join our group/business we need to be mentors, leaders and ensure they get the training they need to make sure they become as successful or even more successful than you do. Very few people will stay in a group or organization if there is no leadership or direction.
When you want to start a standard business, a person writes out a 5 year business plan about where they are starting from and where they want to be in 5 years and how they are going to get there. If they don’t they have no idea of what they need to do to make the business a success.
Your online business is no difference. You need to write down where you are and where you want to be in 1 year, 3 year, and 5 year and for each you need to write what you are going to do to reach your projections whether it be # of ads you have to post, # of people you need to talk to or the number of IBOs you need to sign up. YOU NEED A PLAN and the more detailed that plan is the better you are. Now what are you going to do every time you reach a goal. Of course you are going to celebrate. Celebrate signing your first IBO, then your second and so on. Celebrate making your first $100 and so on. It is very important we celebrate the small achievements as they are the stepping stones to the big one. I like to do a vision board in for form of a LADDER TO SUCCESS and each rung is an achievement. Now you can do a ladder with all the big achievements and then another with all the smaller achievements to get you to that one rung on the ladder of bigger achievements. What makes it fun is to see how many rungs you are climbing.
Now if you think you can’t, I am going to tell you everything will happen if you want it too. Now I started my online marketing business because I know there are so many people in the same place as me and that is they are at a place in their life where they either are too old to work or their health won’t let them and I had hit both almost at the same time. Now with a limited income and just starting a new business I wrote out my business plan. I decided in order to launch my “To Be A Better You Coaching and Mentoring Services” business, I was going to have to look and act more like a professional. I felt my vehicle really wasn’t good enough so I decided I would apply to buy another much newer, nicer one, a Chrysler 300C which has been on my dream list but I would need to finance it. Well guess what they accepted me and I will soon be picking up my new car soon. One rung on my success ladder down now I need to keep making the small successes in order to make the big ones happen.
