How to Get Your MLM Team to Produce
Today, I'd like to share a few helpful tips on how to get your MLM Team to produce.
First off, you must realize that EACH person on your team is their own business owner and is responsible for their own performance and motivation. You can't make someone on your team work consistently, or do the things they know they should be doing. You can't motivate other people either. That is their job.
With that being said, these simple things might inspire your MLM Team to produce more results.
# 1 Get People to Events
Quite perhaps the best thing you can do if you want your MLM Team to produce is get people to events. Events are where they learn new skills and build up their belief in themselves, the products, the company and the industry. Many top earners credit their "defining moment" as going to an event. It's also a proven fact that people who attend events outproduce people who don't. Promote events like your business success depends upon it. It does.
# 2 Have Contests
Contests are a great way to motivate your team, when done right. The problem most reps make is they have contests that aren't realistic for most people on their team. You need to realize that most people in your team are part-timers. Therefore, it makes sense to have a contest that EVERYONE can qualify for. By all means, still have a grand winner. My favorite contests revolve around enrolling just ONE new customer or distributor in a given month. This is something ANYONE can do, if they set their mind to it.
# 3 More Recognition
Recognition is huge. Babies cry for it and grown men die for it. Recognize people whenever you can, for whatever you can. If someone gives their first presentation, make a big deal about it. If someone has been in the business for several years and they just signed up their first person, make a big deal of it. If someone talked to 5 prospects and got rejected five times, make a big deal of it. Recognize the ACTIVITIES you want your team members to do, not just the results.
# 4 Lead by Example
One of the best things you can do to motivate your team and get them to do more is to always lead by example. People want to follow someone who knows who they are, knows where they are going and IS doing the things they are telling everyone else to do. Lead from the front at all times. Always focus on the Phase 1 activities: retailing and recruiting. Inspire people by your own personal example.
