TO LEAD OR TO NEED

Tough love will hurt a few but will save many.

So many people come to the network marketing profession with high hopes and big dreams. You sit through a motivating company presentation and then walk away with a burning need to succeed. You begin your network marketing career with sincere intentions to succeed which is replaced with the needy employee mindset. I need support, I need training, I need encouragement, I need recognition, I just need, need, need. The employee mindset just won’t work.

You can’t be an entrepreneur if you’re thinking like an employee needing to be told what to do, the need to be supervised, the need to work off a schedule, the need to be told when to start work, just about the need to be told everything.

Depending on others is not going to lead to prosperity. It’s a good idea to reach out to your upline or mentors or trainers but you can’t rely on them to build your business or to make decisions for you. The mistake most network marketers make is relying too much on their upline and resort to doing nothing if their upline is not available. You find yourself kicking back on your easy chair watching the boob tube, wasting time checking your emails or being busy with unproductive activities. It ain’t gonna work.

Who do you think deserves more of your time, the person you sponsored who is always trying something or the person always needing motivation? I think you know the answer.

Being an entrepreneur means doing some serious thinking, relying on yourself, making your own decisions, creating your own destiny, setting your own goals, seeking the knowledge on your own and seek out great mentors.

Strength, confidence and leadership are what make you attractive. You have to say bye-bye to the employee mindset and start thinking like an entrepreneur. Did I just hear you ask how? All you have to do is read about entrepreneurs, read personal development books and anything that moves you forward closer toward your goals. After all it is said that leaders are readers.

Your need to succeed will depend on your desire to learn the skills to become a leader. In other words, you gotta be hungry.
