Let's Dig a Little Deeper into Cannabis

Hello and hope everyone if feeling great today. I wanted to use the BA to discuss a little further about the cannabis plant and it's benefits to us.

 Many hear the word Cannabis and instantly think of a bad thing and the "Stoner" stereotype. This is due to what each have been tought and told for many yrs as since it was made illegal in 1925. The true reasoning for this if you read your history was not what many think.  Of course our first inclination is that it is due to the intoxicating effects of the plant , which is possible if used inappropriately, This was used later as reason or excuse for the criminalization of the Cannabis plant in the US. However research it further and you will see the main concern that led to making it illegal was a fear of Mexican immigration since most of the cannabis at this time was grown in Mexico and South America.

Actually due to an Irish Dr's studies Sir William Brooke O'Shaughnessy while in India noted the medical benefits of the cannabis plant that was being used there during the early 19th century. Then by the mid 10th century in the US people could get cannabis from pharmacies and Dr's to be used as medicine and results were well know then and was use to treat nausea, Insomnia, migraines and more at this time. That was until it was made illegal in 1925.

From that point forward in America at least everyone was told this was a strong drug that caused anything from people being violent to increased crime etc.. All of this was basically just made up to push the criminalization of cannabis in America. Can cannabis make you high, Yes with the right strains that are high in THC content and the gluttony of its use, I do not know of one case though in which someone turned violent while using illegally or otherwise cannabis.

Some say the the pharmaceutical companies even in the early 20th century had a big part of making cannabis illegal. Whether this is the case or not I have not been able to find any definite proof of this initially being the case though it would make sense due to cannabis being a natural plant and no patent is possible on a natural plant when used for medicine. I can definitely state that since the reintroduction of Cannabis as viable medicine that there is proof of some companies spending lots of money and pushing to keep it illegal even the industrial hemp which most CBD is derived from and contains very low amounts of THC at all and even this is removed or taken to a non detectable levels in production of the CBD. There only reasoning for this is they know it has medicinal benefits, I can attest to this personally as it has help me greatly with health issues, thus they want it to be kept illegal at all costs until hopefully the can be successful in creating a synthetic form of cannabidiol that is beneficial and label it as a medicine. Though for yrs these companies and regulatory departments have stated their is no evidence that cannabis has any medicinal qualities. This to is not true as we have a  lot of evidence that is is beneficial and more so recently but as stated earlier this was known 2 centuries ago and probably before that in some cultures.

We have had a great deal of good publicity over the use of good quality CBD over recent yrs and for good reason, simply it does work and help many. Just this past December a new Farm bill was signed into law decriminalizing any products derived from industrial hemp or cannabis strains. This is a big plus for everyone though  there is still much to be done.

I personally do not agree with making THC containing cannabis legal for simple recreational use but definitely think for medicinal purposes those who need and would benefit from it should have this made available to them. Some say it is just drugs, I say so are many legal medicines that Dr's prescribe today and they have far many more side-effects than what you get from a natural plant that has been growing on the planet since the beginning of creation. 

So the future is looking quite bright for the CBD world at the moment and as more and more people start using it and seeing the great benefits it offers this is only going to increase it's popularity among the general population. THis is now a booming business but it is going to get much bigger in the coming yrs. Even Forbes magazine has stated this is the next billion dollar industry.

In closing I will say I am a satisfied customer of good quality organic Co2 extracted full-spectrum CBD as it has helped me personally. I am also working to spread the word and the product to the people so they to can see the benefits of this plant in it's natural form.
