The Power of the RIGHT Network Marketing Podcast to catapult your Success

As I look back on my team building career, I have no doubt that I would have never had any level of Success if Sony had not introduced the Walkman in 1979. Lucky for me, I joined the network marketing business model a year later in 1980.

I understand the word “Success” is relative. For me it was building a team over 60,000 distributors with over 200 six and seven figure earners, thousands of 5 figure earners and personally earning millions of dollars in income in the process.

My sponsor had so much confidence in me, he quit two weeks after I joined. But I had an order form where I could order audio cassettes that were recorded at different events around the world for only $2.00 each.

Those audio cassettes kept me in the game. My first three years it seemed like I wanted to quit every day, but finally it all came together for me when I started to understand the real product is people.

I figured out that only about 3% of the people that enter the network marketing profession arrive with the skills sets and mindsets necessary to create long-term success. Yes they can get their business off the ground and create a following, but they have a terrible time duplicating.

When you really stop and think about it, what profession allows you to develop a $250,000 plus income without an education first? Network Marketing is no different.

Corporate managers are taught by professors, network marketing leaders learn from mentors, does that make sense?

The next question I like to ask new distributors is who are you learning from? I am always shocked at the number of people who tell me their sponsor who has been involved in the business 3 months longer than they have. Really?

In today’s social media world the market is flooded with people who are trying to teach you how to do, that which they have never done. Many others are willing to tell you what you want to hear, so they can sell you what they want to sell you.

Here is the best advice you will ever receive. Find someone who has accomplished what you want to accomplish. The truth is for you to maximize your upside income potential with the network marketing business model, it comes down to your ability to develop leaders on your team.

Your long term residual income is in direct proportion to the number of leaders, that you DEVELOP on your team. As the great Brian Tracy said, “real leaders don’t create followings, they develop other leaders”

There are many podcast available for network marketers on Itunes and Stitcher. My advice is, before you invest too much time listening to someone, ask yourself, “who is this person and why should I be listening to them”

The truth is, six figure income earners come and go in this profession, they are a dime-a-dozen. New podcast are being started almost delay by MLM posers. Some of them are personally making money now, but for how long? In fact if you track the numbers, most people who get to a $100,000 a year with the network marketing business model, are out of the profession in 5 years. Why is that? Because they are the in the 3% and they have followers and never experience what I call “the Leadership Development Paradigm Shift”

I think most understand what is going on, but they simply don’t know what to do about it. I am so thankful that I was able to see this from afar early in my career by listening to all of those audio tapes 8 hours a day while I worked on an assembly line.

Podcast are free, however our time is the most valuable asset any of us have. Be careful who you listen to, and always ask yourself have they done, what I want to do?

Don’t get me wrong, we can all learn from each other, even if it is what not to do. If you are just starting in this profession, the philosophy you develop now will continue with you throughout your network marketing career.

You can think about becoming a top earner, or developing top earners on your team. That basic mindset will set you on two completely different paths.
