I'm Cate and I work with Usborne Children's Books, while being a busy mum of two and military wife.

To be honest, when I joined Usborne in September 2019, all I wanted was some "adult time" while earning a little extra cash working from home! I soon found I wanted to help children of all ages to find that "one" book which helps them enjoy reading for pleasure.

Along the way I've been able to provide free books for my kids, meet some wonderful people and gain a load of self confidence!

I love that with Usborne I have the opportunity to keep my books as a hobby or build it into a business, helping schools and nurseries receive boxes of absolutely FREE books!

Seeing the joy on my kids faces as they "help" with deliveries, get to time travel with Compton or go on adventures with Unipiggle at bedtime, has made joining Usborne the best decision for me!

We have the choice of when and where we work as well as how we work - online through social media or offline, or a mix of both when circumstances allow.

In the "real world" we work with parents and schools in various settings such as toddlers groups, local fairs, soft plays, schools and nurseries etc to help them to find the perfect book for each child!

With life as it is, parents need books more than ever before to entertain and educate their children. We are in a perfect position to help. Our books not only help with the home education side, but they help keep the kids entertained and gives parents that much needed break!

Usborne isn't "just" baby books! We cover ages 0 - 18+ and also do jigsaws, origami books, paper planes, magic painting, finger puppet books and lots more - lots of fun for bored kids!

I'm in complete agreement with a colleague, Emma, who says "Usborne is my happy place and always will be - children's books are innocent, happy and magical and you can't help but let that rub off on you! The best thing about them is that they always have happy endings too!"
