Why Quality Traffic Matters When Building an Online Business

If you've been trying to build a business online for any length of time, you already know you need traffic.
But here's something I've learned over the years...

Not all traffic is the same.

I've bought traffic from a lot of different places.

Solo ads.
Banner ads.
Paid traffic packages.
Different advertising platforms.

Some worked better than others.

And I've definitely spent money on traffic that looked great when you saw the number of visitors...but didn't do much of anything once those visitors actually got to my page.

That's why these days I'm a lot more interested in where the traffic is coming from than I am in seeing a huge number of clicks.

More Traffic Doesn't Always Mean Better Traffic

It's easy to get caught up in numbers.
1,000 visitors sounds better than 500.
10,000 sounds even better.

But what good are 10,000 visitors if none of them are remotely interested in what you're offering?

I'd rather have fewer people who are actually interested in making money online, affiliate marketing, network marketing, or whatever I'm promoting than thousands of random clicks.

This doesn't mean those people are going to buy anything.

It just means you're giving yourself a better starting point.

Where Is Your Traffic Actually Coming From?

This is something I think more people should ask before buying traffic.

Where are these people coming from? Are they real visitors?

Are they even interested in the type of offer I'm promoting?

Because there's a LOT of cheap traffic available online.

And cheap does NOT equate to good.

Oh, I've learned that lesson.

I'd rather know I'm dealing with an established traffic source than buy thousands of mystery clicks just because the price looks good.

That's One Thing I Like About Traffic Ignition

This is actually one of the things that interested me when I first looked at Traffic Ignition.

The traffic available through Traffic Ignition is sourced through Traffic Authority.

Traffic Authority isn't a brand-new company that suddenly appeared when Traffic Ignition launched. It's been around since 2015 and has been selling online traffic for years.

That doesn't mean buying Traffic Authority traffic is automatically going to produce leads or sales.

No traffic source can promise you that.

But personally, I like knowing there's some history behind the company providing the traffic.

Especially when I'm spending my own money on it.

Traffic Is Only Part of It

Here's the other thing I've learned.

You can have good traffic and still get bad results.

I've seen people immediately blame their traffic when a campaign doesn't work.

Sometimes the traffic IS the problem.

But sometimes it's the page.
Sometimes it's the headline.
Sometimes the offer just isn't connecting with people.
And sometimes the follow-up just isn't there.

That's why I don't think buying more and more traffic is always the answer.

If you're getting visitors but nobody is opting in, I'd probably look at the capture page before throwing another thousand visitors at it.

If people are opting in but nobody is clicking your emails, maybe the follow-up needs work.

You have to look at the whole picture.

Pay Attention to Your Numbers

I'm definitely not someone who wants to spend all day staring at spreadsheets.

But there are a few numbers worth knowing.

How many visitors did you get?

How many became leads?

How many clicked through to see your offer?

And ultimately...did you make any sales or get any signups?

Those numbers tell you a lot more than simply saying:
"I got 5,000 visitors."

I'd much rather get 500 visitors and 50 leads than 5,000 visitors and two leads.

That's the difference between looking at traffic and looking at what the traffic actually did.

Why I'm Paying More Attention to Traffic Now

One reason Traffic Ignition made sense for me to take a look at is because I was already buying traffic.

And realistically, I'll probably continue buying traffic.

It's part of building online.

Traffic Ignition gives members access to wholesale traffic through Traffic Authority, along with training and marketing tools.

So far, I've had a good experience with it.

Getting started was easy, and there's plenty of training available if you need help figuring things out.

I'm still relatively early in the process, so I'm not going to tell you I've figured out some magic traffic formula.

I haven't. I'm testing things just like everyone else.

But suddenly, I'm seeing progress, I'm seeing sales, I'm seeing more opt-ins than usual.

That's why I wanted to write this.

My Biggest Takeaway

If you're building anything online, you're eventually going to need people to see it.

You can create the greatest website in the world.

You can have an amazing product.

You can write the perfect email.

But somebody still has to see it.

Traffic gives you that opportunity.

Quality traffic gives you a better opportunity.

It still doesn't guarantee sales, leads, signups, or income. You have to test your pages, work on your follow-up, learn what's working and make adjustments along the way.

I've wasted enough money on advertising over the years to know that I'm not interested in traffic just because somebody can send me a lot of clicks.

I'd rather know where those clicks are coming from and then pay attention to what happens after they get there.

At the end of the day, that's the part that actually matters.

Want to Take a Look?

If you're already using paid traffic - or you know you need more people seeing your offers - Traffic Ignition might be worth taking a look at.

That's why I joined. I was already spending money on traffic, so having access to wholesale traffic through Traffic Authority, along with the training and marketing tools, made sense for me.

I'm still testing and learning as I go, but I've had a good experience with it so far.

Take a look at Traffic Ignition here and decide for yourself if it makes sense for what you're building.
