Not Getting What You Were Promised?
If you're currently in a network marketing company and the support, product, or income potential hasn't matched what you were told when you joined, you're not alone, and you're not stuck.
It's one of the most common conversations I have.
Talented, committed people who showed up, did the work, and followed the system, yet still found themselves wondering why the results didn't match the pitch. More often than not, the issue isn't effort or ability. It's the structure around them.
Here are the gaps I hear about most often:
- Support that never quite materialized: You were told you'd be mentored, but your upline was busy chasing their own targets. Instead of real guidance, you got a group chat, a few generic training videos, and a lot of motivational quotes.
- A product that's hard to stand behind: If you find yourself talking yourself into believing in what you sell, that internal friction eventually shows up in your energy and your results. The best products are the ones you'd recommend even if there were no commission attached.
- Income potential that didn't match the story: A fair compensation plan should be simple enough to explain in two sentences. If you need a spreadsheet to understand your own qualifiers, tiers, and thresholds, that complexity rarely works in your favor.
Noticing these gaps doesn't mean you failed, and it doesn't mean network marketing as a model has failed you. It usually just means the specific vehicle you're in isn't the right one for where you want to go next. That's a perfectly reasonable thing to notice, and a far more common one than most people admit.
