Should I Start a Blog?
Have you ever been tempted to start your own blog? Do you even know what a blog is? Do you know how to start one? Do you have any idea what to write about? How will you get traffic to your blog? Do you have any idea about SEO (search Engine Optimization)?
These are just a few of the questions you need to ask yourself before you dedicate your time and energy to a blog. Now, that being said, blogging can be one of the most rewarding projects you will ever achieve.
It isn't easy and it does take a lot of your time, so if you are not one of those people who love to work and enjoy writing, blogging would not be a good fit for you.
What is a Blog?
A blog is a page or website of information or discussions, and often has images, videos, and links to other websites. Many have courses available, affiliate products or services, and lists of the author's other blogs. It is a platform where a writer or even a group of writers share their views on an individual subject.
If you love to do research and write a paper on a certain subject or if you are knowledgeable in a specific area and want to share it with the world, a blog would be the way to do it.
How do you Start a Blog?
I hope my blog will give you some encouragement and ideas on how to get your blog to work for you. Remember, once you create a blog, it is out there for indefinitely. I have received new leads from blogs I wrote 10 years ago.
What about Content?
Once again, if you know how to do a Google Search, you can find enough information to create a unique blog. The internet is full of content. Why would you try to reinvent the wheel? Of course, you can't just copy another author's work, but you can combine all the information.
You can find out what's the most popular niches and keywords that will also help with your SEO. Check out titles that are attractive to your audience. Know what they are looking for and provide them with solutions.
Where do you find the Traffic Needed?
This is one of the biggest questions I get all the time. There are many ways to do this. Know what your targeted traffic is looking for and provide them with solutions.
In the beginning you should have a tool box of may FREE products or services to give to you clients. This is called "Attraction Marketing" and it works. Once they trust you, it will be easier to convert them to buying customers.
Join and post often on Social Media sites, do free and paid advertisements, make friends and join an autoresponder so you can send out emails regularly. It is important to create a personal relationship with all your prospective clients.
