Why Brand You

Branding you … For the last couple of days, I have had people send me opportunity after opportunity to join and I have not been interested. I have not been interested in two reasons; the first reasons is because my plate is full and I cannot take on any more. The second reason is the biggest people, which is people are still branding their companies and not branding themselves. I have, to be honest, I used to do the same thing until I was TAUGHT differently from the top earners in my online community. Now, my mission is to teach business owners the same; it is much easier.

In this blog post, I am going to discuss the important of branding yourself and not your company. First, the company you are in already has a brand; people know who they are and if they do not know the company, all they have to do is Google it. I believe people think if they just brand their company that people will join at the drop of a nail. I remember one of my mentors saying that people join people, not companies. For people to join people, they have to trust you and know that you have their best interest at heart. I am going to share why branding yourself in your business is important. The first reason, I actually heard from Ray Higdon and that reason is that branding yourself will put you as an expert in your field. Branding yourself will help people connect with you no matter what products or services you have. People want to know if they can connect with and you have the chemistry. If people do not feel a chemistry with you, they will not join your opportunity; it doesn’t matter what products you are promoting. 

Branding yourself will make you an asset to your company. Your company will need you because you are bringing in sales and new people. The company is strong enough to bring in people on their own. If you brand yourself and grow your business, you will have something to fall back if the company were to fall through.

If a person is looking for a product or service, they could come to you if you have a personal brand. Your brand needs to be something that stands out but remains in people’s head. My personal brand is the Disabled Network Marketer, which helps me sticks out from the rest. People know they can come to me if they have questions or concerns on how to build their business. 

Building your own brand helps you build trust and recognition with your customers and potential customers. People are looking to join opportunities but if there is no trust, then they will go search for another person to join and it just might be in the same company. Why, because they came off branding themselves and not the opportunity.
