Best Types of Prospects to Recruit in Your MLM Business

If I could share one piece of advice with you, when it comes to talking with prospects, I would tell you to focus on quality, not quantity.

Yes, this business is a numbers game, initially. Although you never really know WHO will build the business big, there are some qualities you can look for in people that will improve your odds of finding quality distributors.

First off, most people who do well in our industry are already business minded. They already think like an entrepreneur and understand commission-based pay. They are long-term thinkers and can see things before they exist. They aren’t scared to roll up their sleeves and work hard. They don’t expect instant gratification. Most people who've only had a job don't think like that.

Another thing to look for is people with a big burning desire to change their life. Ultimately, you are looking for someone who is sick and tired of being sick and tired of their situation in life. It doesn’t matter what they do or how much money they make. Someone with a compelling reason to change their life for the better is a great prospect for your network marketing business.

Another quality prospect is ANYONE who had some type of business as a child. Look for someone who sold newspapers, Christmas wreaths, did babysitting, or anything else as a kid. These folks understand hard work and hustle.

I also like to prospect people who played sports in high school. These are folks who understand the importance of training, preparation and hard work. Whether they were a talented athlete or not is irrelevant. Sports taught them discipline, hard work and teamwork.

Teachers also make great prospects for your MLM Business. Many of the top earners in our industry were teachers first.  After all, this is a sponsor and teach business.  Teachers are patient.  They're good at helping and serving others.  They can explain complex things in simple ways. Can't you see why teachers would be a great prospect?

Final Thoughts

At the end of the day, you should never pre-judge people. You never really know who will get involved and build it big. By all means, talk to everyone, but always keep your eyes and ears open for prospects who meet any of the criteria listed above. And remember, one or two quality people can change your business (and life) for the better. Good luck!
