It’s amazing what a big dose of laughter can do to improve your mood and increase your overall happiness. In addition to feeling good, laughter has real health benefits. 

Laughter stimulates many organs - Laughter enhances your intake of oxygen-rich air, stimulates your heart, lungs and muscles, and increases the endorphins that are released by your brain.

Laughter activates and relieves your stress response - A lively laugh fires up and then cools down your stress response and increases your heart rate and blood pressure, resulting in a great, relaxed feeling.

Laughter soothes tension - Laughter can stimulate circulation and aid muscle relaxation, both of which help reduce some of the physical symptoms of stress.

Healthy Looks Great On Her

Thai Chicken Lettuce Cups 


* 2 tsp olive oil

* 1/2 pound 95-97% lean ground chicken breast (if using 90-94% lean, then reduce oil to 1 tsp or eliminate altogether if able)

* 2 Tbsp diced red onion

* 1 clove garlic, very finely minced

* ¼ cup minced jalapenos

* 1 tablespoon fish sauce

* 2 tsp lime juice

* 1 teaspoon low-sodium soy sauce

* 1 head iceberg lettuce, leaves separated into “cups”

* 1 handful of cilantro and/or mint, cut into chiffonade


Heat a wok or large sauté pan over high heat. When hot, swirl in 1 tablespoon of the oil and add the chicken. Use your spatula to break up the meat and spread out over the surface of the pan. Cook until browned, about 3 minutes.

Push the ground chicken to one side of the pan and swirl in the remaining ½ tablespoon of oil. To the oil, add the shallots, red onion, garlic, and fresh chiles and sauté the aromatics until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add the fish sauce, lime juice, and soy sauce. Serve with lettuce cups and herbs
